The start of this itinerary is along the route de la Péroua, which can be reached by taking the no 2 resort shuttle bus. A magnificent gentle ascent through the forest leads you to Pra da Dzeu. This peaceful clearing is both calm and restful. The route then continues with a steady ascent until you reach the ski slope. Follow this slope for a few metres where the route is quite steep before turning right back into the forest onto a wilder path. You then arrive at the Croix de la Jean-Pierre (cross), a vestige steeped in local history. On this part of the tour, the path alternates between forest and ski slope before crossing the latter above the Jean-Pierre ski lift. The last part of this itinerary passes by the last few fir trees before arriving at the magic carpet of the ski school’s snow garden. You then only have a few steps left to reach the summit of Tracouet. You can come back down either via the Jean-Pierre or the Alpage ski run.
