The walk begins at the top of the Veysonnaz gondola, on your right as you arrive, in front of the Mont-Rouge Restaurant. Follow the special "Sentier des masques" signposts with their green arrows and wooden characters.
The itinerary takes you first to the plateaus of the Combyre mountain pasture and then to the forêt de l'Ours where you can admire the Gouilly d'en Haut, a haven of peacefulness.
You then cross the "piste de l'Ours" to return to the quiet of the forest and emerge into a completely different atmosphere through the mid-mountain pastures of Veysonnaz.
Each post introduces you to various aspects of mountain life in a fun way: the majestic peaks that surround us and their fascinating tales, the Hérens cows and the Inalps, the history of the dams, the mid-mountain pastures and the wildlife.
