The hike departs from Haute-Nendaz. The Bisse Vieux first crosses the upper part of the village and then enters the forest for a few hundred metres. As you leave the forest, you can enjoy a stunning view of the villages of Veysonnaz, Clèbes and Verrey. The path then continues into the Val de Nendaz to Planchouet, running in the opposite direction to the bisse, which takes its source in the River Printse. The Bisse Vieux is known for its wooden constructions and sculptures. At the end of the bisse, the picturesque hamlet of Planchouet is reached by following the road. Allow yourself a gourmet break in one of the hamlet's restaurants before setting off on the second part of the hike.
The walk continues on the other side of the Printse valley along the Grand Bisse de Vex, in the same direction as the water flow. The bisse first runs along the lower edge of the forest and then continues into the forest for several kilometres. On the bisse you can find several wooden constructions necessary for the transport of the water and which testify to the enormous work carried out in the past. On leaving the forest, you come to the dry meadows with their protected biotope between Beuson, Clèbes and Verrey. The bisse finally crosses the upper part of Veysonnaz and takes you to the gondola departure station, and the arrival point of this wonderful itinerary.
A thematic treasure hunt is also set up along the entire route of the Veysonnaz to Planchouet bisse to make the walk more fun and entertaining for children.
