The departure of the hike is located at the arrival of the Veysonnaz gondola. Follow the signposts towards the "Ancien Bisse de Chervé", along an ancient alpine pasture track, wide and relatively flat, offering a stunning view. After about an hour's walk you reach the Restaurant des Chottes, once the former cowshed of the Combyre mountain pasture.
The hike continues with a rather steep descent first through the Combyre-Meina mountain pastures, then through the forest to the charming hamlet of Planchouet. This path is commonly called in the region: the path of the 24 hairpin bends... it's up to you to check the accuracy of this name. Take a break in one of the hamlet's restaurants before heading back along the Grand Bisse de Vex all the way back to Veysonnaz.
