This hike is ideal for exploring the different facets of the village of Veysonnaz and its surroundings. The departure point is in front of Veysonnaz Tourisme, towards the bottom of the Mayens slope, on the gondola departure station. The nearby Bisse de Vex and the Hotel Magrappé make this a pleasant and busy place in all seasons.
You then discover the Rue de Pra, the resort's main street, lined with buildings and embellished with shops and restaurants. At the end of the street, towards the Restaurant le Greppon Blanc, don't miss the exceptional panoramic view before going down the Chemin de Pra to reach the old quarters of the village. You are invited to walk through the narrow streets and why not visit the church. Admire the beautiful wooden town hall.
After crossing Veysonnaz, join the pleasant and sunny Route de Clèbes. At the entrance to the hamlet, continue on the same road towards Verrey, until you reach the Bisse de Vex, which leads you back to Veysonnaz.
The majority of the walk is along well cleared roads and does not present any particular difficulties. The last part on the bisse can however be tricky in case of icy conditions.
