Movement track Les Collons 1800 - Thyon 2000
Ski touring
The first part is easy along the Didaludic path and then the second part along the Mayens de l'Ours itinerary until you reach Thyon
- Picnic area available
- Accessible by public transport
The departure of this ski touring itinerary is at 150 metres from Thyon Tourisme, at Les Collons 1800, behind the tennis courts. You can discover the charming Didaludic path in its winter versionr, well for part of the way, till you reach the Gouilly d'en Bas.
Then you join the Mayens de l'Ours itinerary. The path narrows for a few hundred meters before widening along a long but gentle climb.
From the Gouilly d'en Haut, the itinerary becomes a little more technical and and wild with some slopes to climb, dotted with natural obstacles. The detour around the Thyon 2000 road, along the edge of the piste de l'Ours, may cause some difficulties and sometimes requires a conversion before returning into the forest. The rest is beautiful in the high wooded pastures, until you leave the forest at the top of the Piste de l'Ours.
The wildlife's habitat must be protected, which is why it is important that ski tourers keep to the marked trails that are tolerated by the forest services. In order to respect this logic, ski tourers are urged to come back down via the ski slopes
Les Movement tracks are open during the ski lift operating times. They are not protected from dangers such as avalanches or piste groomers equipped with winches once the ski slopes are closed.
